Tape Deck Only (Side B)

These/ pesky memories from the corners of my mind
seem to always find to/ fuck with me/ be stuck to me
like permanent odors in clothes/ I can’t wash them out
so the scent constantly invades her nose and now/ she
knows that I still
T-E-X you/ my ex who/ keeps me gone on nights and
weekends/ hypnotized by her cellular voodoo of ‘I miss
you’s’/ ‘wanna kiss you’s’/ ‘Much rather be with you’s’/
‘Don’t mean to dis you but/ she will never love you as much
as I do’s’/ see we still have unpaid dues that always seem
to find time to/ fuck with me/ be stuck to me like permanent
odors in clothes/ I can’t wash them out so your scent
constantly invades her nose and now/ she knows that
I still
use my metaphors and similes to help me make-believe/
secretly/ what used to be between we/ more than just the
S-E/ X-rated memories/ more like how the chemist taught
lessons in love chemistry/ chemically/ alt-ter-ring-my-mind
so spiritually she will always be with me/ unconsciously
constantly invading her nose until/ she knows that I
still
keep our favorite song on repeat/ keep our favorite song
on repeat/ repeat on song favorite our keep
keep
keep/
repeat/ I still keep it on/ repeat until this tapes’ weak
or we meet and I can finally get rid of those/ pesky
memories from the corners of my mind that seem to always
find time to/ fuck with me/ be stuck to me like this
permanent odor in my clothes/ the one that I’ll never seem
to wash out and constantly invade her nose until/ she’ll
know/ I think she’ll know/ I know she’ll that I still
love you.
